One of the most celebrated sci-fi shows in the world of fandom, Fringe, is making a return to the small screen on HBO Max.
Not since The X-Files did a television series grab the hearts and minds of the geek community as much as the FOX series, Fringe. The show, which lasted 5 seasons, quickly became a cult classic among nerds everywhere for it's quirky characters, brilliant writing and dark plot twists. Fringe launched the careers of such actors like John Noble (Lord of the Rings) and Lance Reddick (John Wick) and was appointment viewing in an era just before DVR and streaming.
Well, if you've never had the chance to enjoy this groundbreaking sci-fi masterpiece, Fringe is now streaming on HBO Max. All 100 episodes are just a click away, and we can't recommend it enough for fans of X-Files-esque sci-fi television.
Fringe tells the story of F.B.I. agent, Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv), who is forced to work with an institutionalized scientist named Walter Bishop (John Noble) and his son Peter (Joshua Jackson), in order to rationalize a brewing storm of unexplained phenomena.
The show delves into the inner mind, explores the use of psychedelic drugs, aliens, time travel, mind manipulation... and family. It is humorous in ways The X-Files never was and it’s heartfelt in ways no sci-fi series has been before or since.
So, if you've ever heard of this show but never had the chance to enjoy it, or if you're looking for something new to binge, we recommend diving head first into the world of Fringe on HBO Max.
