Leaked Video Shows Off 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' Set

A sprawling new slate of Star Wars is looking to dominate Disney+ while furthering the lore in which a galaxy far, far away sources itself on. Though many of the series that are currently set to take on the streaming service revisit past franchise events with well-known characters, these plots will supplement the gaps left behind and founder new details.

It looks as if Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022-) will return to Tattooine. A TikTok that recently took the short video sharing platform by storm has shared explicit details of the limited series' set, and it seems to be a spitting image of Tattooine or a planet that's strikingly similar to it. The dry, barren, dusty desert planet which sits on the galaxy's Outer Rim seems to be set to make its appearance yet again to some capacity.

Photos attached to the Twitter thread are claimed to confirm that the footage is from behind the scenes of the show, as said by the TikTok account owner. The set is shown in great detail, but there's no specification as to when Tattooine will be visited once again and the importance that it will feed into the limited series altogether. Besides actor Ewan McGregor returning to the titular role of Obi-Wan Kenobi nearly twenty years later since his last appearance as the Jedi Knight, Joel Edgerton is to reprise his role of Owen Lars, and Hayden Christensen is locked in for a six-episode deal as Anakin "Darth Vader" Skywalker.

Tattooine has been historically significant important to Star Wars as one of its most popular planets. It's not completely necessary that the franchise relies on the Hutt-ruled, farming outer world alone, but the twin suns never fail to set the stage for smugglers, criminals, and other rogues. Obi-Wan Kenobi will say "hello there" on Disney+ in 2022.
